|Dear Apostle of the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Peace on Earth to Men of Good Will!
If God Our Father were to withdraw His almighty Hand from the world, it would relapse into the utter chaos from which He drew it. If it is to stand and endure, He Himself must carry it in His arms to protect it from falling into the bottomless pit of nothingness. God created the world! God preserves the world! Not only does God preserve the world, He also governs it. Be solicitous to serve God and He will, in turn, care for thee!
Jesus Christ is the promised Redeemer, the Son of God, and Our Lord. God is truly Our Creator and, therefore, He must be Our Master. Since He is Our Redeemer, we truly belong to Him Who ransomed us at the price of His Most Precious Blood.
What a very special time is the Advent Season, as we rejoice with Mary and Joseph in anticipation of the birth of Our Savior. We are called upon to accompany them on their pilgrimage to Bethlehem. The whole world waits with baited breath in anticipation of the fulfillment of Sacred Scripture. During these days of preparation, it is vital to throw off the chains that bind us to earth and give ourselves, without reserve, to labor for that which never perishes. Our hearts must be stripped of self and sin so that they will be prepared to receive Our Divine Infant King!
We must set out on this Journey with only that which is essential. Our effort must be forceful, true and energetic. All the extras and assurance of security for the future must be left behind. They are part of the great deception of the devil. We wish to receive Our Sweet Savior in a heart unencumbered by materialism, empty of self and open to truth and love.
We prepare our poor backpack with gifts for the Infant King: self-denial, prayer, fasting, daily duty and charity to our neighbor – giving all with no expectation of return. Our obedience, suffering and humility are put to the test.
What a mystery of omnipotence is the Incarnation! That the Son of God would come down from His heavenly throne and be born into this vale of tears, to live, suffer and die, is a mystery of mercy and condescension revealing the unfathomable heights and depths of God’s Goodness. While He humiliated Himself beyond our understanding, He took infinite pleasure in exalting to an unspeakable degree Her, whom He had chosen as His Mother. St. Joseph was called to be the virgin spouse of Mary, the protector, provider and guardian of Jesus and Mary. What a sublime mission! What great confidence God placed in Joseph! Let us call upon St. Joseph in the many perplexities we face in our daily lives.
Let us make haste to prepare a soft crib for Our Sweet Savior that, in the harsh cold of the cave in Bethlehem, He might be enfolded in the warmth of our love.
If we approach the manger with arms empty of self and filled with love, gratitude and the most profound humility, we will hear the tender words of His Immaculate Mother, “Take Him, He is yours!”
May your Advent be filled with the healing balm of sacrifice and your Christmas be one of abundant graces, consolations, peace and joy!
We are on our way Home!
Men Must Cease Offending God, Who Is Already Too Much Offended!
We are wrestling not against flesh and blood, but against Principalities and Powers!
The battle in which we are engaged is essentially a spiritual one and only spiritual weapons will obtain the victory. The weapon, par excellence, is the very Heart of the Mother of God, the seat of the Immaculate Conception, that which drove Satan and his hoards from the vault of Heaven down to the pits of Hell. Their ominous cry of pride and utter defiance resonates throughout the world today, “I WILL NOT SERVE!” Driven from the Face of God to wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls, these proud angelic spirits, turned demons, were crushed by the humble words of the Virgin Mary: “Behold the Handmaid of the Lord, be it done unto me according to Thy word.”
“The sacrifice required of each person is the fulfillment of his duties in life and the observance of My Law. This is the penance that I now seek and require.” (Our Lord to Sister Lucia, 1943)
I must love the Lord, my God, with all my heart, with all my mind, with all my soul, and I must love my neighbor as God has loved me, that I may be happy with Him in Paradise for ALL ETERNITY.
Regardless of my treatment of Him, God loves me. He is compassionate to the thankful and to the evil alike. I will always find forgiveness from Him, Who prayed for those who murdered Him, as well as for those who loved Him. What God wants is not my plans, but my life that He may work HIS plans through me. Conversion of heart and soul must necessarily PRECEDE my consecration! The words of Jesus Christ to Sr. Lucia stated this precisely:
The consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary will be the outward sign of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary!
It is the love that springs up in my heart for Mary, Co-Redemptrix and Mediatrix of all Graces that prompts me to surrender myself to Jesus Christ through Her Immaculate Heart. This is the most important foundation of my Consecration.
Pope Pius XII issued an Encyclical in 1948 to the whole world calling upon every family and every diocese to make the consecration. In 1952, this same Pontiff consecrated Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in union with the whole Church and had a medal struck to commemorate this monumental dedication. Yet, Sr. Lucia wrote that, although God was pleased with this act, it was incomplete … “It cannot be complete until every individual, every home, every diocese and every country consecrates itself, after the example of the Holy Father to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.” Sister Lucia
In November 1961, in New Delhi-India, Patriarch Nikodim of the Russian Orthodox Church laid down the conditions of the Kremlin which had to be accepted before they would attend the Vatican Council II. The Vatican-Moscow Agreement is no secret. In early 1962, the pledge was signed by the Vatican that no hostile declaration would be made by the Council against Russia. Communism was not to be mentioned. And, today, we are told that Communism is dead. Yet, it marches on to engulf the world with its doctrines and iron fist.
We will know that the Immaculate Heart of Mary has Triumphed as She promised, when the Holy Father united with all the Bishops gather in Rome to define the third and final Marian dogma that Our Blessed Mother is the Mediatrix of all Graces and Co-redemptrix of the world. This Triumph will be the outward sign of the consecration of Russia. Then, the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart will reign on earth as They do in Heaven. Peace will be given to the world.
It Is The Will Of God!
The Holy Ghost is God. The Blessed and ever-virgin Mary is His Immaculate Spouse. Of Mary, there can never be enough! What is given to Her is given to Him!
O Mary conceived without Original Sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee and for those who do not have recourse to thee, especially for the enemies of Holy Mother the Church.
The name of Lucifer is “LEGION”. He is constantly changing his name and his image, but his indelible mark remains unchanged: hatred of the Church, hatred of the just and hatred of the Immaculate Mother of God. The Holy Ghost is the principle of the life of the Church and, therefore, the source of Her holiness and Her unity. Disunion from this life results in death. Arrogant and disciplined by an inhuman mystique, the enemy applies methodically, point-by-point, his plan of extermination. Mary, the Immaculate, is our direct way to Jesus Christ. She is the weapon of conquest with which to establish the reign of Jesus Christ universally from one end of the earth to the other! Nothing must sorrow the Holy Ghost quite as much as the mediocrity of we, who are vowed to His Spouse. Embracing the Blessed Virgin Mary, the principle dogmas of our Faith are READ, GRASPED, LOVED AND BELIEVED. Our Blessed Mother contained and contains the Gospel which She offers to us through the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary! She is the FOUNTAIN OF GRACE which is poured out upon us through her powerful Sacramentals of the Holy Rosary and the Scapular of Mount Carmel. True Christians can be recognized by their IMMENSE love for the Mother of God, but nothing short of IMMENSE! The Immaculata will impart to us a deep love for Her Divine Spouse and obtain for us the fullness of His Gifts.
We are on all sides surrounded and pressed by the spirit of the world. Never in any other Age has the hostile spirit of the world risen up so mightily against the Kingdom of the Holy Ghost, Holy Mother the Church. Never has apostasy from the faith been more general, nor presumption more extreme, nor hatred and jealousy between nations more ferocious. Our Age is identified by sin against the Holy Ghost. In this Age, a religion, peculiar to itself, is here. The worship of the devil has affected apostasy from the truth and confusion of the mind. Ours is an Age of spiritual darkness, lies, godlessness and despair.
Sin is the evil which surpasses all other evils put together, destroying our union with God and man, annulling our claims to future happiness, rendering us victims of eternal misery and deranging the harmony which should exist between nature itself and the human soul. Owing to our want of thought, sin reigns everywhere in all shapes of corruption and disorder. Its dominion is universal, extending through all the paths and avenues of society, infecting every state and condition, defiling each Age, and tainting alike both men and women. Sin is the rejection of God’s authority, our positive refusal to submit to His Commandments, an act of downright rebellion against Him. The ingratitude which it implies is the blackest of all ingratitude – total disregard for a father, benefactor, lover and friend. By sin, we positively trample His mercies and His kindness under our feet. We may form our idea of the atrocity of any crime by the weight and nature of the punishments which are inflicted because of it. When our first parents sinned, God visited them with the severest penalty. He converted His Paradise of delights into a vale of tears; and His promise of immortality, He changed to a sentence of death.
God sent His only begotten Son to redeem the world from sin and to sacrifice His Life for ours that we might, one day, be happy with Him for all eternity in Heaven.
Son, Behold Thy Mother!
“I will never leave you alone.
The very first request of Our Lady to the children of Fatima was: “Do you wish to offer up to God all the sufferings which He desires to send you in reparation for the sins by which He is offended and as supplication for the conversion of sinners?”
In the second apparition, when the three children begged Our Lady to take them to Heaven, She promised to take Francisco and Jacinta but then She said to Lucia: “You must remain here for sometime longer. Jesus wishes to make use of you to make me known and loved. He wants to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart.”
Our Lady explained that the manner of carrying out Her message was to be made known, little by little. Indeed, it was only ten years later that She requested the Five First Saturdays. In 1946 and in subsequent years, Lucia was asked in detail just how the message of Our Lady of Fatima was to be fulfilled.
In explaining it, Lucia said that the most vital element is the Morning Offering and the reference of every act of the day to that Offering. But, its importance, in relation to the other elements of the message, is something like the importance of the fruit on a tree in reference to the tree itself.
To a hungry person, the fruit is more vital because the tree cannot be eaten. But, without the tree, there would be no fruit. So, without the Rosary and the Scapular, the fruit of living the Morning Offering would be almost impossible. By means of the Scapular, we are actually consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, professing this consecration at every moment of the day by the power of the virtual intention. Provided with the constant moral presence of Our Lady, we find in saying the Rosary properly, the light and inspiration to see and to understand our daily duty, and the joy and strength to fulfill it.
It is not easily seen why God has brought about what Claudel called an “Explosion of the Supernatural” for so obvious a message as living our Daily Duty.
However, as the Formula of Holiness emerged, we saw unfold the simple and wonderfully powerful means Our Lady had come to stress as the way of sanctifying ourselves, and of bringing about the sanctification of the world.
Before going to bed at night, we should be sure we have finished our Rosary and then KISS THE SCAPULAR and ask ourselves: “Have I lived my consecration today?”
We are in one of the Greatest Spiritual Struggles of All Time!
It is as though the devil said to God, “I can destroy Your Church if You give me a free hand.” As in the case of Job, God has allowed this hour for the trial of the Church. The promised triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary will be all the more marvelous and glorious in view of the effects of a half century of militant atheism in the world.
Our Lady’s Living Rosary is militant godliness. It is not fighting individual evils but Principalities and Powers, and its arms are entirely spiritual! To those few spiritual weapons, Our Lady has attached Her own solemn promise of victory: “In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph.”
If we involve the Living Rosary name in anything controversial, we start to fight the devil on his own ground. We have a simple, POSITIVE spiritual program. This is what our cause is all about. There is nothing controversial in the Blue Army pledge or the Daily Decade of the Living Rosary. It contains practices of positive holiness and is a program of union with the Immaculate Heart of Mary to bring about the reign of the Heart of Jesus Christ in ourselves, our families, our parishes, our nation and our world.
If we DO want to engage in individual positive attacks against immodesty, abortion, drug abuse, alcoholism, unfair taxes, some parish practices that are not sufficiently traditional, etc. do, BUT not in the name of The Living Rosary.
The Living Rosary’s purpose is not accomplished except by bringing about the full triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in the world.
We want your spiritual commitment. We ask nothing else. God knows what is needed for the battle at hand. He will inspire souls to fulfill these needs. Our obligation is to make known the needs as they arise. WE MUST DO THIS! We cannot sit back and say, “God will provide!” We must make known our needs and create the opportunity for the necessary help. The purpose of the Living Rosary is not to build a dominant organization but to diffuse the message of Fatima with the least amount of organization necessary. Diocesan independence is encouraged. Normally, the Living Rosary does not begin with pastors, but with parishioners. If the pastor will present it, explain the message and encourage the faithful to take up a Decade, this is EXCELLENT!
What a Great Mission is Ours:
The Scope of which is the World!
The Heart of which is the Cross!
The Fire of which is Prayer!
The Spirit of which is Action!
The Power of which is Unity!
Since we are engaged essentially in a deadly and intense SPIRITUAL WAR, victories do not come easily. The most practical and effective way to begin is with two or three who will make the holy hour. An apostolate of holiness requires holy people. And, if it is to develop effectively, it must have a start in holiness … hearts united to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in front of the Tabernacle. All the rest will follow!
“Give me an Army praying the Rosary and I will conquer the world” Pope Pius IX
God does not need our energy or our brains. He only needs our hearts. Our Lady summons us to Her service in this crucial matter of immortal souls, souls for whom Our Lord shed His Blood on Calvary. Take that leap into the thorn-circled Heart of Mary as the children of Fatima did,
BE HEROIC IN YOUR PRAYERS!
A Spiritual Communion with Mary
O Immaculate Queen of Heaven and Earth, Mother of God and Mediatrix of every Grace! I believe that Thy dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, is truly and substantially contained in the Most Blessed Sacrament. I love Him above all things and I long to receive Him into my heart. Since I cannot now receive Him sacramentally, be so good as to place Him spiritually in my soul.
O my Jesus, I embrace Thee as One Who has already come and I unite myself entirely to Thee. Never permit me to be separated from Thee. Amen.
|A Christmas Bouquet For Your Loved Ones!
We wish to give you the greatest gift possible during this Advent and Christmas Season to help in a special way to prepare your hearts and souls for the momentous event which we anticipate: God with us!In reality, the first coming of Our Lord in the stable at Bethlehem occurs again and again. It is a merciful reality not only at the feast of Christmas, but in the hearts of each one of us at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass – the Church being the stable of Bethlehem, and the altar and our hearts the crib. The Church celebrates not only the first coming of Christ upon earth as Our Redeemer, but also the merciful reality of His second coming on earth as our Judge! By His first coming, Our Lord redeemed us from sin and obtained the resurrection of our souls to the life of Grace. With His second coming, Christ will heal us of all our frailties and will bring resurrection to our bodies. We shall reap the harvest of complete happiness with God even as we have served Him in this world with our whole being, body and soul. Christ desires to be born in us that we may live new, purer and more perfect lives.
Thirty days of Sacred Liturgies will be offered for all those who enroll in the Christmas Bouquet of Masses offered by Fr. Ivan Kolodij and the good priests in Ukraine. Your spiritual and temporal needs and your family, living and dead, will be remembered at the Holy Altar every day during December. The Christmas Mass Bouquet will be crowned with a solemn High Mass on the Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ and during the Christmas Octave. There could be no more precious gift you can give at Christmas time. Each person arranging these Masses for their loved ones will be sent a beautiful Mass card which may be mailed to the person enrolled. We will mail the Mass cards directly to you. These may be sent in your Christmas greeting cards or placed inside your gift packages. This is a wonderful way to keep Christ in Christmas!!!

|O Mary Conceived Without Sin, Pray For Us!Dear Apostle of the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
May God reward your great generosity to the missions! It is absolutely miraculous what is being done by our representatives and your gift will be a great source of hope and strength to them. May God bless you!
Only suffering will save us. Things that are happening now are unbelievable: earthquakes, bombings, sickness and despair. Still, we must believe and trust with all our hearts, and continue to do everything we can to love God and care for our families.
Paradise has disappeared from the earth, which has clearly now become a vale of tears. Combat and sufferings have become our hard lot. It is now that the Christian heart turns to the Hill of Calvary where gleams the Cross in the splendor of victory, as a mighty lighthouse whose far-flung rays fill the voyager with courage and hope. Mount Calvary stands out to us in the storms of life! On Calvary, the heart learns to separate itself from the earth and to soar aloft to God; there it learns to break with everything sinful, imperfect and faulty.
Our earthly life is not a life of rest, it is not a time of happiness; no, it is a period of ascent, of constant and tireless labor. We press forward, ever forward, and upward on the path of virtue and perfection: higher, ever higher, onward to Heaven! It is necessary for us to elevate our souls above the wearisome emptiness of everyday existence, to forget the world for a little while, to loosen the bands wherewith it binds us, and to lift up our hearts on high, far beyond the stars, even to the dazzling white throne of God. The earth may promise and give what it will, but it can never satisfy the human heart – that heart cries for God and will not rest until it rests in Him. We must arise from our sleep and, in earnest, begin our journey to the Father’s House. Golgotha promises the soldier of Christ a glorious victory. Wield well your heavenly weapons, battle bravely, and never take your eyes off the Son of God on the pulpit of the Cross, where He delivers His greatest sermon. Here and here alone, we learn how to love God, how to trust God and how to lift our hearts up to Him.
Please pray for me.
The Family That Prays Together Stays Together
Many of us find our days are overcrowded with business, deadlines, sports, meetings, doctors’ appointments, endless shopping, sickness and family crisis. We find ourselves entirely spent in taking care of the urgent in our lives, while the important matters of life and family are neglected. There is, today, a grave disorder in our daily lives. The gathering each evening of the family for a meal had been called the liturgy of civilization. It was an image in daily life of the great liturgy of the Mass. Family dinner makes a most suitable prelude to the family Rosary. In this way, the evening becomes a sacred time to God and to the family alike.
The Holy Rosary is the highest and most effective form of family prayer. As a private devotion, it found its center not in the church but in the home. The family Rosary was usually the way the children learned the Church’s basic vocal prayers and the key mysteries of Christ’s Life upon earth. When the family gathers at the end of the day’s labors and prays the Rosary, Our Lady is delighted with their faithful and unanimous homage. She is ever near them as a loving mother encircled by her children, distributing to them the blessings of domestic peace, the foretaste of the peace of Heaven.
No one should be forced to pray the Rosary and no one should be excluded, who wishes to take part. A special place should be prepared with a statue, Crucifix and holy water; and fresh flowers are a sign of your living devotion. If there is no time to pray the whole Rosary, kneel at least for one DECADE.
We are richly blessed to have this precious gift from the Queen of Heaven in these terrible days of war, hate and division. Our families are weak and divided. Let us try, at least, to pray one Decade of the Rosary after an evening meal as a family. The many blessings obtained will be internal, external and ETERNAL!
|We Must Sacrifice Ourselves for Sinners!
In 1919, one person died every second. Today, that number surely has doubled. Every hour, 10,000 deaths! Every day, nearly a million dead! At every moment, someone is dying and is, perhaps, in the greatest danger of being lost forever. What is needed now is an army of souls to pray for the dying. My Jesus, have mercy on the poor dying sinners!
We can make our whole lives a constant pleading before the throne of mercy for the Salvation of the Dying. The more souls we save, the more certain is our own salvation. Dying sinners are more in need of our prayers even than the Holy Souls in Purgatory who are assured of Heaven. Dying sinners face death without God; they are quite often alone, sick, exhausted, and taunted by fierce temptations of the devil. The hour of death is the most important moment of our lives, for our never-ending Eternity depends upon it.
We can show no greater love or mercy to our neighbor than by trying to procure for him the grace of a holy death. How many Holy Masses are offered for the Souls in Purgatory but, alas, how very few Masses for the Salvation of the Dying? St. Joseph is the patron of a happy death, dying as he did in the arms of Jesus and Mary. Let us make our families missionary by encouraging our children to pray for dying sinners! Their innocent hearts and the purity of their prayers will obtain great graces of infinite mercy for these poor souls.
We may feel totally helpless when seeing death in the mission field and news of our own impending death may cause us great despair. God is in control. The offering up of our suffering for dying sinners will save their poor souls and will secure for us a blessed Eternity.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, visit today we beseech thee, those souls who are in the cold sweat of death and at enmity with God. Bathe them in the Most Precious Blood of Jesus. Breathe into them the very Life of God. Obtain for them the grace to make perfect Acts of Faith, Hope and Divine Charity, that they may be snatched from the very abyss of Hell to glorify God for all Eternity and to … add to the luster of thy TRIUMPH!
SWEET HEART OF MARY, BE MY SALVATION!
|Sheltering The Divine Outcast
The one and only reason of our existence on earth is to die with Christ that we may live in Him. This is our life’s work: We, emptying ourselves of self, and Christ filling in the gaps until we become other Christs. Now, in the physical world, we cannot do this of ourselves, any more than the invalid can perform her own operation. The surgeon must do it. In the spiritual life, these operations are almost continual. They are not always done by the Head Surgeon, Jesus Christ. NO! He gives the instruments to His apprentices who do the work rather awkwardly at times and, perhaps, make mistakes but, if we are of good disposition, the wounds heal and do not fester. Provided there be room for Christ, what else matters? Separations, uncongenial surroundings, want of consideration, painful remarks, seeming injustice, loneliness, disappointments and a thousand other things are the instruments that cut away SELF, little by little, in order that Christ may increase. The more Christ grows in us, the less importance we attach to the irksomeness of affairs; the more beauty we find in individuals, the more loving and kind are we in our interpretation of everything about us; in essence, the more we strive to be holy.
We often deceive ourselves regarding genuine union with God! Souls, who think they have reached it because they enjoy sensible consolations, are like children playing with ashes that the wind carries away. NO! NO! True union does not consist in delights, but in privations! The sign that God dwells in us and that we are possessed by His Love is that we take what hurts, not only patiently but also gratefully, saying:
“I thank Thee, My Loving Father, but I am not worthy of it. I do not deserve that
