Universal Living Rosary Association of Saint Philomena (ULRA)

We are eager to share with you today the vast scope of the work done this year through the Living Rosary Center here in Ukraine.

We have tried to compile figures which contain the full report of achievement of our work in 2014 in Ukraine. This year, we enrolled over 15,000 new members to the Living Rosary organization. Our people are very grateful to you for making it possible to maintain the Center here. It is an extremely busy and active Center. We published over 60,000 leaflets on How to Pray the Rosary and have distributed them throughout the country. The people who are active in the battle for the dignity and independence of Ukraine from Russian tyranny, have been praying the Rosary every day. Many of our people are troops who are defending our country in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. We have sent over 5,000 Rosaries for them. Many military men give witness that their lives were saved and they were able to return to their families through the power of the Daily Decade.

This year, the Center published over 45,000 Catholic Calendars for our members and for the poor. The Calendar provides information about our work and gives the people a means to contact us for the fruits of membership in the Living Rosary. We are now approaching the Feast of St. Nicholas which is observed on December 19 in the Greek Catholic Church. This day is highly respected among the children and youth of Ukraine. We published 15,000 booklets about St. Nicholas for children, which encourage them to believe in God and love the Mother of God. This year, we published over 100,000 cards and different leaflets of devotion. We have been able to distribute our materials to those women who are contemplating the intention of killing their babies by abortion.

Youth is one of our special focuses and a book was published on, “How to Love and Serve God.” This book was widely distributed in schools and the families of the members of the Living Rosary. We have worked hard to spread devotion to St. Philomena, distributing over 100,000 cords of St. Philomena, 50,000 thousand Brown Scapulars and chaplets of St. Philomena to the poor and the sick. During the year of 2014, our Center posted through the mail, over 10,000 letters and boxes with books and Sacramentals to the whole country.

We implore you to continue to help us to accomplish that which is absolutely vital to the peace of the world. We are praying very hard to convert Ukraine, Russia and the whole world. Our hotline is open to all those who are suffering and need guidance 24 hours a day. We could do more, but funds are sadly lacking. And, we witness this month the great tax increase of 17% interest on all things purchased. This is a great suffering for our people.

Your families, your special intentions, your needs, good health and courage are always in our prayers at Holy Mass. We wish for all of you protection from evil, holy perseverance, courage and the fulfilment of all your dreams and works.

The package of religious articles arrived in good condition. I appreciate your efforts in getting it to us. They are very useful in helping us continue to promote devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Philomena, our Wonder-Worker. They came just in time for the needs of one of our professors to share with her students and the parishioners of her subdivision. You can imagine the joy in their eyes and the happiness on their faces after receiving the Sacramentals. Lists of newly recruited members of the Living Rosary are also enclosed.

I shared the holy oil and cord of St. Philomena with Daisy, a patient who just had her kidney transplant recently. She is scheduled for a liver transplant soon. Please include her in your prayers. May I also ask you to pray for my painful knees which sometimes make it difficult for me to move around! I still have a few drops of the holy oil so I can apply on my knees every night. I trust that St. Philomena will miraculously heal me.

Share Your Gift of Faith

For centuries, our cherished Catholic faith has been passed from person to person, parent to child, etc. Each of us carries in our heart a special memory of how God first graced us with the knowledge of the faith and how Our Blessed Mother, Saint Philomena, Venerable Pauline Jaricot and other saints changed our lives and brought us closer to Christ.

In our work in the Universal Living Rosary Association, we see first hand how millions of souls are currently living without that knowledge of God and are living outside of His grace. We have been given a beautiful opportunity to carry out Christ’s work and pass on our faith and blessings to others who would otherwise never be introduced to Our Lord, the Savior of all mankind. Just as we pray for the souls in Purgatory who have no one to pray for them, we should also make it a part of our life’s mission to pass on our faith to as many souls as possible who have no one else to pass it on to them, who don’t know Our Lord and His promise of salvation.
