The following information is personal one. I send it to request you to thank God on my behalf for everything He has done for me and to pray for me:

On April 11, 2015, the 6th year of my Episcopate started. On May 4, 2015, I began 46th year of my Priestly Ordination. On June 22, 2015, the 76th year of my age will begin. Praised be God!

May God bless you and the work of the ULRA, and the Mother of God guide you in all you do! My daily prayer is always with you.

Today, I had time to read the e-mall from Monica in Romania and I am very shocked. This is a very difficult situation. In Ukraine, everybody wants to join the European Union. I think everybody must read this letter and learn how difficult it is to live in the EU countries. I will remember Monica and her husband in my prayers and Sacred Masses.

Thank you enormously for your support. Today was another day of terror. It is general chaos in our country. Absolutely incredible! The elections were victorious for the man with traditional views, but the country continues to be ruled by the same Communist as before the elections. He lost the election but refuses to resign. At this time, there is total chaos in the medical field. A new medical card was introduced. Bureaucracy is increasing incredibly. You know my husband has cancer and is under treatment. This morning we were forced to wait until the medical staff could take care of everyone who did not need blood drawn and, then, at the end of hours, Nick could be treated. It is the same chaos in the transportation field. Few have cars and we take a taxi to the clinic. The taxi cab driver was angry because the State is asking him for new taxes and, if any passenger gives him a tip, he must declare it to the government. If you tip the waiter at the table or the barber who cuts your hair, he must declare the money. If they do not, they will be punished.

It is a sick situation in general. The loser of the election, the Prime Minister, is refusing to step down. We can do nothing about it because they modified the Constitution and now we have to wait another year for a new election. This Communist system is transformed with the help of some democratic bureaucrats into terrorism.

The Formula is Simple: Communism + Democracy = Terrorism.

The real democracy is only for democratic people who respect Human Rights!!! Look at Guantanamo, camp #7: The Secret Camp! How is it possible to ask for rights for criminals who have murdered priests who refuse to accept the union of the schismatic church, under Russian control? Who defends these priests and believers? The minority is persecuted in our country and no one cares about human rights! Our churches have been taken over and we have Mass in the fields.

Jesus asks for mercy and love, yes. It is true that we must love them because Jesus commanded us to love. We can love them but we cannot absolve them from just punishment. This is complicity! Excuse me, dearest sister in God, but sometimes life is so much hard that we must do some political analysis also. It is a pity that so many people are brain-washed and unable to think for themselves. Without a brain, we cannot defend our Faith or our country. I pray for a much stronger Christianity in the USA. In my opinion, it is not enough just to make war against terrorists. It is necessary to insist on a positive government. If this does not happen, USA and EU will fall. At this moment, EU is very close to being controlled by Russian agents.

We need moral support from USA. All people are confused and the Russian propaganda is increasing in the media every day. This is so dangerous for us and for you. May God enlighten the USA! The only Church that is able to give us martyrs for our country is the Catholic Church. No other Church can do this! Thank God for giving us this Faith. Thank you for your existence.

All for the greater Glory of God and the Victory of Peace and Love on the Earth!

Dear Mrs. Melvin,

Many thanks for your kind letter and all the other brochures you sent me. Unfortunately, I am unable to give any donation as my godchild is costing a lot of money. She will learn a profession for three years and I can hardly afford it.

The drawings on my PHILOMENA book were done by Manon Massari. She has already completed the covers for my future books about Saint Agatha of Catania and Saints Perpetua and Felicitas, so they will be in a similar style.

Thanks a lot for referring your German contacts to me. I am also making some people aware of The Living Rosary and, in the future, I might place a link on my website. I am not sure if you have received my second Philomena poem, so here it comes again just in case it got lost.

In honour of Saint Philomena, the most gentle and brave Princess!

Dear Philomena, you had so much to endure,
An Emperor continued to menace and lure.
He promised you riches and jewels, and crown
But you were so brave when with scorn he did frown!

You were missing your parents, your heart it was torn;
But the mighty Diocletian in your wounds put a thorn!
In the darkness of a dungeon, you suffered much pain;
By hunger and thirst, you were scourged and half slain!

Diocletian, he shouted with a furious gaze:
“Let the mud of the Tiber be her burial place!”
An anchor around her neck, Philomena in prayer stood still,
The soldiers fulfilled the Emperors will;
But two Angels came, fast as heavenly light
And saved her from falling, by holding her tight!

The anchor, it fell in the water deep down;
Instead of Philomena, to the mud it did drown!
The crowds on the bridge and close to the river,
They cheered in amazement, or converted with a shiver!

Then arrows were heated, but they did return;
As if such a girl, they were not willing to burn!
So he ordered to severe her head from the trunk
And, when it was done, in despair he sunk!
Angels took her soul, to Heaven their flight
Whereas the Princess, she is shining with light!

Dear Saint Philomena, your heart is so kind,
And always so caring and loving your mind!
Your presence is gentle, you wish us so well;
Your name casts a holy-affectionate spell,
You like to be helpful, in all our needs;
You deserve to be loved and praised for your deeds!

Those who seek detailed knowledge of a saint, may cast a glance at Saint Philomena, recite a few prayers in her honor and, then, leave her like so many other heroes of the Faith, in total forgetfulness and oblivion. And, what glory does this add to God? But, what would you say if God should work numerous and brilliant miracles for the Saint and this, universally, if the entire world resounded with her name and her glory, in a few short years erase the fifteen centuries of her obscurity? This has taken place, and now what do you say!

Surely, this would be one of the greatest humiliations to which God could subject our century and one of the sublimest triumphs of humility! This is what is happening and the world will see. Hell and its henchmen will tremble. The humility of St. Philomena is put before us to teach man the pure glory of sacrifice made for the love of Jesus Christ.

The powerful stagger and fall from their thrones and the humble are exalted. May all render glory to God and to the humility which He honors! Do you wish to be crowned with His eternal Glory? Humble yourself in His presence: Silence your prideful thoughts and ambitious pretensions. Are you not Christians and, as such, imitators of Jesus Christ and obliged to practice the Gospel? Jesus of Nazareth, poor from His Birth, was lost in obscurity until the time of His apostolate. Even while He taught and showed Himself by marvelous miracles, he gathered nothing but contradictions, calumnies, outrages and, finally, the sentence of death. This is the example given to you by Jesus, your God and necessary Model. What virtue did He recommend to you as the foundation and the door of His Paradise? Alas! It was humility. Humility is the virtue which nature loathes but is honorable in the Eyes of God and His Saints! It was to make known to us the nobility and grandeur of this virtue that God raised up from the dust an unknown virgin. She rose with the speed of lightning and invites souls possessed of holy ambition to walk beside her. St. Philomena repeats to us the words of Our Savior:

Whoever exalts himself, will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will enter into My Glory.

Oh, if the proud could only hear and understand her. But, they are too busy dividing among themselves the remaining power, honor and glory upon earth. They may enjoy these for a time and then will come their eternal bondage and confusion.

The second lesson St. Philomena gives us is a lesson in purity and what is more, virginal purity. It is a lesson of highest importance and one of greatest necessity in an era where we can say that most all flesh has corrupted its path. Behold, in the midst of a fetid swamp, the meeting place for so much filth, there appears a pretty lily whose whiteness dazzles our sight. It is God Who made her appear among us. An immortal essence nourishes her, an all-powerful Hand protects her. A sparkling garden forms around her. What are these new flowers? Lilies! Yes, young lilies whose roots go to extract their sap in her root, whose beings reflect the dazzle and the beauty of the lily which gave life to them and nourishes them.

Heaven and Hell are locked in mortal combat and earth shakes from the shock of the encounter; but no one feels it, no one sees it, no one hears it, no one cares! The salvation of my soul is the most imperative and urgent objective of my life on earth. It is the greatest and grandest occupation in which I can engage. In fact, I am here for no other purpose.

The Brown Scapular is a Sacramental of the Church; it is a Gift from Heaven and a symbol of salvation. A True Child of Mary is NEVER LOST! Those who are clothed in the Scapular are under the protection and sanctifying mantle of the Mother of God. It is a safeguard in danger, whether physical or moral; it invites its wearer to penance and purity, and shields him from Satan and sin!!! The Brown Scapular marks the militia of the Immaculate One. Mary’s livery is the Brown Scapular. To serve Mary is the highest privilege and pledge of eternal salvation. The Brown Scapular, the Garment of Mary Immaculate, is a constant call to modesty in dress and conduct, a silent protest against present-day permissiveness and a hidden appeal to reparation for the insolent nakedness of proud Neo-Paganism! The Brown Scapular is like a hair-shirt, a mild reminder of the need of constant mortification. We are all but infants in virtue and helpless as babes in the woods of this bleak world. We stand in dire need of Our Mother’s unconditional love and care. Our utter helplessness and misery is our claim to her undying protection. The Brown Scapular is a mirror of humility and chastity: the epitome of modesty and simplicity, an eloquent symbol of unceasing prayer, a Total Consecration to the Mother of God. We cannot unite with others in this battle for the Triumph of Christ the King at the cost of TRUTH! What is needed is a unity of prayer! To a faithless world, Our Blessed Mother comes offering us a choice: Death in Life or Life after Death!

“The ultimate Goal of the Requests of Our Lady of Fatima is the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart! It is thought by experts who were convoked by the Bishop of Fatima that the Conversion of Russia would not only be a Sign of that Triumph, but that much of the leadership and drive of the spiritual renewal which will characterize this Triumph will come from Russia!”

There is a great deal of urgency as well as finality to the Fatima Message: Men must cease offending God, Who is already too much offended! Thus, the formula for the Triumph is centered around the offering up of the sacrifices demanded by our state in life and deepening our devotion to Mary by Consecration, the Rosary and the Scapular. Each of these parts is closely related; like the four legs of a chair, all four are needed. It is useless to ask which one is more important than the other. All four make up the solid basis for the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary for the individual and for all the world. The sign of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Scapular, is silent! And, yet, the Scapular has been the vehicle of more numerous miracles and favors than any other sign the world has ever known. We must strive for the virtues which this Holy Habit signifies: simplicity, humility, faith, trust, love of God and union with Him. We should kiss the Scapular often. Pope Benedict XV granted 500 days indulgence each time we kiss our Scapular. The Sabbatine Privilege was first promulgated by Pope John XXII and was subsequently promulgated by nine other Popes.

What is the remedy needed today? How beautiful that we do know this with absolute clarity, for this remedy has been given to us by God Himself: BEHOLD THY MOTHER! It is His last will and testament to us. IT IS FOR TODAY! We must have an immense increase of devotion to God’s Holy Mother. Mary Immaculate is the Mediatrix and Co-Redemptrix of the human race and God’s Peace resides within her Immaculate Heart! We seek in vain for it elsewhere. “Devotion to Mary must be the prominent characteristic of our religion. Jesus is obscured because Mary is kept in the background. Thousands of souls perish because Mary is withheld from them. It is the miserable, unworthy shadow which we call our devotion to the Blessed Virgin that is the cause of all our wants and blights. It is at the root of our decline! If Mary were but known how much happier, how much holier, how much less worldly we would be and how much more we would be living images of Our Lord and Savior, her dearest and most Blessed Son!” (Father F.W. Faber – November 21, 1862)

Each of us must be aglow within, shining without, ardent for love of God and our fellow man; ardent in prayer, brilliant in action; ardent for the Glory of God and luminous with charity for our neighbor. But, where are we to light our torch and obtain the fire which must enkindle the hearts of men? It must be in the furnace of the Holy Heart of the Mother of Fair Love! Her Heart will inflame the hearts of the just and, at the same time, set fire to the hearts of sinners!

Don’t hold back! The Church is the Family of God. It is a Universal Church. There is no such thing as a spiritual step-
child. Be an intimate part of the Family! Don’t be afraid to turn to Mary, your Mother. Abundant are the graces and powerful the blessings which come to us through her Immaculate Heart. Open your arms and your heart, and receive them all. Sign up for the Scapular Confraternity, it is part of your Family inheritance!

With all our hearts, we praise thee, O Mother of God!
Hail Mary, Daughter of God the Father!
Hail Mary, Mother of God the Son!
Hail Mary, Spouse of the Holy Ghost!
Hail Mary, Temple of the Divinity!
Hail Mary, Immaculate Lily of the resplendent Trinity!
Hail Mary, Queen of the Universe, to whom all power has been given in Heaven and on Earth!
Hail Mary, Queen of my heart, my Mother, my Life, my Consolation and my Hope!

Share Your Gift of Faith

For centuries, our cherished Catholic faith has been passed from person to person, parent to child, etc. Each of us carries in our heart a special memory of how God first graced us with the knowledge of the faith and how Our Blessed Mother, Saint Philomena, Venerable Pauline Jaricot and other saints changed our lives and brought us closer to Christ.

In our work in the Universal Living Rosary Association, we see first hand how millions of souls are currently living without that knowledge of God and are living outside of His grace.
