Weekly News Flash from the Universal Living Rosary Association of Saint Philomena, Wednesday September 9, 2015

Dear Apostles of the Immaculate Heart of Mary,

Your very generous donation has arrived safely. It is a mighty help enabling us to reach souls with the most powerful weapon God has given us for victory in the infernal war being waged by the demons throughout the whole world. Yet, what a blessed consolation to know that we can help and have the power to do so today, wherever we may be! There is no problem no matter how difficult, temporal or spiritual, personal or global that cannot be solved by the Rosary. United DECADE by DECADE, we march forward to victory!

It is certain that America is at the most crucial moment of her history. Let us keep upper most in our minds the Power of the Rosary and the Message of Our Lady of Fatima. The Rosary has proven itself as a weapon of protection. The Culture of Death has gained significant control in our political affairs in recent years. It is obvious that we cannot overcome this evil on our own. Politically speaking, we are in the minority. When victory comes, there will be no question that it is through the Power of Prayer and the great Goodness of God. Our homes are secularized and meaningless comfort offered by modern capitalism has rendered safer and duller the buffer of Socialism.

The fact that our culture has surrendered so many of its core Christian values to the Culture of Death fuels their determination to convert and destroy us! Now, abortions are done in the third trimester to traffic the organs. In Austria, children were killed because they stuttered, had a hair-lip, eyes too far apart, or were disabled. They died by injection or were left outdoors to freeze to death. Times are not so different now as they were during World War II.

Father Patrick Peyton knew the Power of the Rosary and he knew that Catholic families must turn to Family Prayer, most especially the Holy Rosary! This is a time of hope when evil can be conquered if enough people join together praying the Rosary in petition, reparation and thanksgiving. “A World at PRAYER is a World at PEACE!”

NOW is the time for a renewal of Family Life, based on the sure foundation of a loving and stable relationship of mother and father in marriage. The Rosary is timeless! Never underestimate its power! It is a weapon of defense and protection. It has the power to soften the hardest of hearts, to convert the most stubborn of sinners and to align our minds to the mind of God!

HAVE COURAGE! The Rosary Solves All Problems!

One with you in the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

THE BEAUTIFUL HANDS OF A PRIEST (Continued)

The Sacrament of Holy Orders transforms the candidate for priesthood into a sacred person, imprinting upon his soul a sacred character which can never be cancelled. He will be a priest forever! If a priest abandons his cassock because he chooses another vocation, the power of the Church remains with him (Canon 882) to absolve from sin those in the agony of death. This he can do only in the absence of another priest being present. Possessing this special charism, the priest is unlike other people. Through the Sacrament of Holy Orders, he is confirmed a servant of God, who brings Christ to humanity and directs us to Heaven.

The first duty of a priest is entirely spiritual – that souls may have eternal life. His work is not for a day, a week or a year; it is taken on for an entire lifetime until his dying breath. A priest never has a day off. His duties are great and manifold. Every priest is a victim soul with Christ; his freedom and his life are sacrificed in union with Christ Crucified for the salvation of souls. We call him, Father, for truly he is.

Who is the Catholic Priest?

The priest is a son of humanity given the power to make us the sons of God! The priest is a servant of God. He must face death; all the while he has the keys of salvation. The priest is another Christ and there is none so beloved and hated as him. The priest is often at the center of controversy.

Great initiatives, generous works and superior sacrifices have been his contribution to society. The priest is a person of integrity and silence. When a man falls down because of human weakness, he is forgiven, but for the priest there is no forgiveness, only criticism and judgment. Who are they who judge and condemn the priest? They are often those he has served faithfully and well.

At the dawn of our lives, the priest is there to baptize us. Through his office and by his hands, the stain of Original Sin is washed from our souls and we are admitted into the Family of the Living. “I baptize thee in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.” Sanctifying Grace fills the soul and the infant becomes a child of God. At this point, the devil surely cries out, “O priest, you have beaten me!”

At the dawn of adolescent, the young adult will emerge into puberty and many times be challenged by the world, the flesh and the devil. The graces of Baptism will not be enough. The Sacrament of Confirmation is needed. By this Sacrament, he becomes a soldier of Jesus Christ and is given new strength to live and defend his Catholic Faith against the enemies of the soul. The Bishop (who is a priest) anoints the youth and asks the Holy Ghost to come and fill him with His Seven Gifts and Twelve Fruits. The confirmed is then given the strength of a soldier and the power to resist temptation and do good.

The priest gives us, every day, the Holy Eucharist for our spiritual nourishment. While our lives are filled with dangers, temptations and uncertainty, we have great need of Heavenly Bread to nourish and strengthen our soul. The youngest and the oldest, the rich and the poor, the educated and the illiterate are all invited to receive Our Blessed Lord, daily, at the Holy Altar in humble village hamlets and great Cathedrals.

Let us pray for one another.

Dear Patti,I am happy to inform you that the devotional materials you sent on 22nd July, was received on 7th August, 2015.

I wholeheartedly thank you for the spiritual zeal you have to configure the world to Christ, Our Lord and Saviour. It is us in Christ, through His Body the Church, who can make people see the Light of God shine in their day-to-day endeavours. This is our duty! We need to be available all the time as this is expected of a disciple of Christ. Being a disciple means being constantly ready to bring the love of Jesus to others and this can happen unexpectedly and in any place: on the street, in the city square, during work or on a journey. The devotional materials are really an aid in spurring the faithful on prayer.

May the Good Lord bless you abundantly so that you carry on the work of configuring the multitude to Christ earnestly and with vigour!

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Jenezio Chisonga.

I received one box from the post office. On 11th August, we had a procession around the church compound after the Novena to St. Philomena. The Holy Mass was celebrated by Father Kailey, which was well attended by the members as you can see from the attached photos. I have sent lists of 150 new members.

Thank you and God bless you all!

Dear Members and Friends,We would like to draw your attention to a beautiful work being done by Mrs. Connie Schneider and her team. They have been working for many long years to develop the Children of The Eucharist, Young Missionaries of The Immaculate Heart of Mary associated with the International World Apostolate of Fatima. Their goal is to lead our youth to have a greater understanding, adoration and love for Jesus in the Holy Eucharist, and to ever increase their love and trust in the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It is a program of hope!

www.childrenoftheeucharist.org

Annually, the children are asked to gather before the Most Blessed Sacrament and make a Holy Hour of Reparation and Adoration on October 2. Families are in peril and the prayer of children is powerful before the throne of God. Teachers, encourage your students to take part. Parents, go with your children and make the Holy Hour together with them. All who take part will become sensitive to sin and grow in virtue, grace and holiness.

Father Angelo Beda Ison, OFM of Jerusalem will be offering the Sacred Mass in the Holy Land for all who take part in the annual Holy Hour of Reparation and for all who donate in support of this heroic effort to sanctify families and repair for the outrages and blasphemies against the Most Blessed Sacrament and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

May an avalanche of Sanctifying Grace pour out over the face of the whole earth! God bless each and every one who will take an active part in this glorious effort to hasten the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

One with you in the Immaculate Heart of Mary,

HEART OF JESUS, OUR REFUGE AND SOLACE

The Heavens hide their light for grief, and the world is wrapped in darkness. The Heart of Jesus is opened with a lance that there may be formed His only One, His perfect One, His Virgin Spouse: the Holy Church. Jesus willed that His Heart be opened that we might possess in His Heart a permanent place of refuge and solace, where everything necessary and useful to us would be found. The Wound in His Heart is the Door that remains forever open to us through which those who enter will be saved. It is a refuge for mortals and the Paradise of the Blessed.

Gaze upon the Heart of Jesus whose Love is stronger than death and more vigorous than life. All sweetness is there to arouse our faith, strengthen our hope and enkindle our love. Come and immerse thyself in this Ocean of Love. Hasten to this Fountain of Grace, to this gushing Spring of all consolation. In every peril and difficulty, throw thyself confidently upon the Heart of Jesus!

“Christ’s Heart Is Open That ALL May Enter!” Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque

Share Your Gift of Faith

For centuries, our cherished Catholic faith has been passed from person to person, parent to child, etc. Each of us carries in our heart a special memory of how God first graced us with the knowledge of the faith and how Our Blessed Mother, Saint Philomena, Venerable Pauline Jaricot and other saints changed our lives and brought us closer to Christ.

In our work in the Universal Living Rosary Association, we see first hand how millions of souls are currently living without that knowledge of God and are living outside of His grace. We have been given a beautiful opportunity to carry out Christ’s work and pass on our faith and blessings to others who would otherwise never be introduced to Our Lord, the Savior of all mankind. Just as we pray for the souls in Purgatory who have no one to pray for them, we should also make it a part of our life’s mission to pass on our faith to as many souls as possible who have no one else to pass it on to them, who don’t know Our Lord and His promise of salvation.

This is the box we send out to the foreign Missions $77.95. It contains Rosaries, Scapulars, Miraculous Medals, Cord & Oil, Newsletters, Calendars, Catechism books, 2 TAN books, large color prints, lists and encouragements for our Promoters.
