He has sacrificed his life totally for the Universal Living Rosary Association of Saint Philomena (ULRA), the Virgin Mary and for souls. His newsletters, printings and outreach in Pakistan have been incredible amidst persecutions, physical suffering and, now, this grave illness which seldom defies death.  I am writing this letter to you today to request prayers and Masses for a heroic brother in Christ. He lives in Pakistan and works as a nurse. He also works as a lay minister in the Church, distributing Rosaries and teaching about our Lord and His Blessed Mother. I do not need to tell most of you, perhaps, but I will say this in case some of you may not be aware of it.Christians are only 15% of the population in the Muslim country of Pakistan. They are persecuted and live economically also the hardest of lives. This dear brother, whose name is Afzaal, works in the same organization that has sent all of the Rosaries and other devotional materials that I have given to all of you. He is often in danger of being executed. To add to this, his home situation is very difficult (I will not go into more detail on this, but this also needs prayer).I just received word that he has been diagnosed with tuberculosis meningitis. This is a very serious and often fatal disease. The treatment is very expensive. It would not surprise me if this were an attack from the evil one because of all the great good this man has done under the most terrible of circumstances. You know that I rarely ask such a thing, so I am asking all of you to very much take this to heart.
To our Bishops and priests, please offer Masses as you are able. To the Franciscan Sisters, please offer your Rosaries and prayers for this heroic man with this very difficult situation. Thank you for your prayers, your help and your time.
